After the Christmas and New Year festivities I am suffering for a knee pain for two days now. Is this a sign of old age now that I am 46 years old? Oh, I don't think so... hahaha!
Is this arthritis? No! Oh my god!
I just hope it’s just a simple sprain, the pain is just on my right knee, may be my right knee tissues were just stretched.
Searching online I am doing self-care technique to treat my knee pain such as:
Putting an ice pack to my knee, and
Raising my leg on cushions.
Optimistically this pain in due course goes away.
i hope the pain will go away soon.. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you continue to have pain, have it checked by a specialist. :)
ReplyDeleteAre the tips effective? I hope you no longer have pain.
ReplyDeleteI do hope it's nothing serious! If it persists, seeing a doctor is a must. :-)
ReplyDeletei agree, if it persist...see a doctor
ReplyDeleteIf it is caused by arthritis, cold compress is not adviseable because t will just helps in crystallization of uric acid making more pain. I would suggest to use hot compress instead.
ReplyDeleteMine too, my right knee starts to feel pain especially during cold weather. I am just 31. hehehe
I also avoided seeded foods (fruits and veggies) because they have high uric acid content. We need to flush out those uric acid by drinking right amount of water.
Maybe the uric acid already crystallize hence the pain. I hope the pain went away now. Like Daddy Allan said, avoid seeded vegetables. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope its not an arthritis... I hope the pain will get away soon...
ReplyDeleteI remember getting intense knee pain after I get birth. I hope yours is not serious, though. God bless you!

ReplyDeletehow's your knee now? I hope it's getting better
ReplyDeleteHope the pain goes away.. or else will you try aqupuncture?
ReplyDeleteHope the pain goes away. Might also be better to have your uric acid checked. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, have you done a blood test for uric acid already? Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope the tips you searched online have you relieved the pains you are experiencing. Also, it's not bad to make intelligent choices with your food. Sabi nga, "prevention is better than cure."
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, sis! :)
Avoid beans or legumes. My mom has athritis. It really hurts.
ReplyDeleteI've had knee pain after the holidays too! I felt it when I started jogging last week. Though its gone already after few consecutive days of jogging. I used to jog before the holidays too so it wasn't really because of lack of exercise. I hope this isn't some sort of arthritis yet...
ReplyDeleteDo you remember doing something that possibly strained your knee? Have you checked for inflammation? If it persists, maybe you should consult a doctor.
ReplyDeleteIt could be from the cold, or the food you've been having for the past few weeks.
It could be just because of the cold weather or from health reasons too. It would be only best for you to have it checked by the doctor.
ReplyDeleteI had an officemate who cant walk because her uric acid is high and she had a list of food to avoid. Practically all fish is bawal kaloka
ReplyDeleteSo many reasons for knee pain... did you have an injury? It is best to be checked! And if it really does not go away, you might need an MRI, too!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen any doctor? It would be better to get an opinion for your safety. Take care.
ReplyDeleteNaku! I had problems with my back after new year naman. A week of salonpas helped a lot. I told my husband to just ignore my smell for the mean time. LOL! I hope you'll feel better soon. Try putting on salonpas.
ReplyDeleteI've been going to my physical therapist for my neck and back pains. I was told naman to apply a hot pack. My knees do hurt at times when I feel so tired walking or standing up for too long. I will make use of your helpful tips over here. Thanks;.
ReplyDeleteThese are great self-care tips. But if you can, seek help from a therapist :)
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the reasons people go to doctors since my husband is an orthopedic Surgeon... knee pain and back pain. In our MRI suite, this is also one of the other requests other than brain and spine... knee MRI!
